Welcome to the New Mexico Hunter-Jumper Association
The New Mexico Hunter Jumper Association
was organized in 1962 with the goal of
promoting and standardizing all recognized
hunter jumper horse shows and other
equestrian activities within New Mexico and
neighboring states and to act in the common
good of exhibitors, sponsors, and spectators.
The current membership totals over 85 active
members. The Association registers in
excess of 80 horses and ponies.
We are an affiliate member of the United States Equestrian
Federation and follow their rules. Currently there are 35 Out of State NMHJA approved
horse shows, as well as 6 In-State shows. NMHJA is a non-profit organization.
The NMHJA is governed by a board of directors consisting of twelve members. We have
several committees responsible for show standards, awards, social events, charities,
our year end banquet, rules and by-laws.
We welcome all members to our monthly meetings which are held the first Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at Zea's on Montgomery NE, in Albuquerque. We also welcome ideas and volunteers to help further support our contributions to the horse community in New Mexico.
This is an organization, for you, the horse community. Please get involved.
Please pardon any mistakes with dates on our forms as we are currently working to fix them.
